When and where is the event?
The Memorial Day Hot Air Balloon Event will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2 PM to 9 PM at 7675 Padre Cir, San Antonio Tx 78214. Carnival Rides will begin at 2 PM and Hot Air Balloon Rides will start at 7 PM (weather permitting)
Where should I park ?
Parking is available at Mission County Park Parking Lot or Mission County Park 2 Parking Lot. Arrive early to secure a spot, as parking may fill up quickly.
Is everything free or just admission and parking?
Admission and parking are free, but certain activities and purchases will have additional costs. Vendors, carnival rides, and hot air balloon rides require separate payments. Be sure to bring cash or card to enjoy all the attractions!
What is a tethered hot air balloon ride?
A tethered hot air balloon ride offers the thrill of floating above the ground while remaining securely anchored. Does a waiver need to be signed to ride the hot air balloon?
Yes, all participants must sign a waiver before taking a hot air balloon ride. Minors will need a parent or legal guardian to sign on their behalf. Waivers will be available at the event, or you may have the option to complete one in advance—please check for details at the event registration area.
Are the rides affected by the weather?
Yes, hot air balloon rides are weather-dependent, as safety is our top priority. Strong winds, rain, or other unfavorable conditions may cause delays or cancellations. Do I need to book in advance for a balloon ride?
Yes, we highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance to guarantee your spot. Slots are limited, and if tickets sell out online, there will be no availability on the day of the event. However, if spots remain open, you may purchase tickets at the event. Rides are typically first-come, first-served, so be sure to check our website or event page for reservation options and availability.
How can I become a vendor or sponsor?
We’d love for you to be part of our event! If you're interested in becoming a vendor or sponsor, simply fill out a request form on our Join Us page. Be sure to include details about your business, the type of vendor you are, and what you plan to sell or offer.
Once submitted, you'll receive an email with application details, vendor fees, and next steps. To ensure a diverse selection of offerings, we allow only one vendor per category, so secure your spot early.
